The International Quilt Museum’s mission is to build a global collection and audience that celebrate the cultural and artistic significance of quilts. The International Quilt Museum is located on the University of Nebraska – Lincoln’s East Campus, and houses the largest publicly held quilt collection in the world dating from the 1600s to present and representing more than 60 countries. We hold memberships with the American Alliance of Museums and Association of Academic Museums and Galleries. We enjoy a partnership with the North American Reciprocal Museum Association (NARM) and Blue Star Museums, honoring active members of our military and their families with free admission between Memorial Day and Labor Day. We are a participating museum in the Museums for All Program, an initiative of the Institute of Museum and Library Services, offering free admission to those receiving food assistance.
