TeamMates Mentoring provides youth in grades 3-12 with a caring adult mentor. TeamMates Mentoring of Lincoln serves 70 public and parochial schools across the community, including all 26 Title 1 schools, where the majority of students live in low income households. The social support provided by a caring mentor serves as a protective factor to counteract potential risk factors associated with poverty and other adverse childhood experiences that may impact a student’s likelihood of graduating high school or pursuing post-secondary education.
